I wanted to offer a formal "thank you" for all the time you have spent training and developing me into the martial artist I am today.
I had checked out several schools of various styles (Judo, Shotokan, etc.) around Cincinnati before deciding that Blue Ash Shaolin-Do (BASD) would be the best overall fit for me, and time has only reinforced that I made the right decision. I've since spent over 2 ½ years training in martial arts at the BASD and it has not only enhanced my physical shape, but also provided me with skills that will last a lifetime.
My initial and continued attraction to BASD is based on the following characteristics:
- Extremely knowledgeable instructors
- Affordable monthly rates
- Instructors who take the time to ensure I am learning the katas accurately
- Timing flexibility in the class schedule (more than one class/week offered)
- Variety of both open hand and weapons forms
Since joining, I have increased my flexibility, speed, muscle endurance, and have gained a great deal of confidence in my ability to defend myself. All instructors instill a sense of humbleness to the students, while teaching a disciplined and physically intensive class that can cater to those who have never thrown a punch as well as to those who have a black belt in different style.
I have/do highly recommend BASD to anyone interested in learning martial arts while improving their shape physically and mentally in the process.
Thanks again,
Jim Eutsler
Hey, I just wanted to drop a note and say thanks for how supportive you all have been, and thanks for the extra help you guys have given me while I'm recovering. The extra attention means a lot, and I really feel like I can be ready for the test on the 24th.
Although I know that a lot of this comes from within, I really feel like the dojo has helped me get back on the path that I strayed from during/after my divorce. The support and encouragement I got after my surgery from everyone really drove that home. I feel like I'm welcome, and that I belong there.
Coming to the dojo has probably been the best decision I've made regarding my own life in quite sometime, possibly since high school. Every day that I am there I feel like I am becoming a better person, not just physically, but mentally and spiritually as well. I feel more well-rounded, and I take the lessons that I learn at the dojo about myself to heart.
You've attracted a wonderful group of people, and they all reflect the school's commitment and attitude very well, and you should be proud of that.
I look forward to many more years of classes.
Thanks, you've made a big difference in my life, and I truly appreciate it.
